What is Pregnant Pauses?
Put simply, Pregnant Pauses is a scientifically proven set of pregnancy exercises that alleviate pain, increase energy and help you have a healthier pregnancy! The creator saw the need for a workout series designed specifically for the different stages of pregnancy.
Your body goes through tremendous changes from the moment you get pregnant and as your pregnancy progresses through each trimester. Many women complain about various pain as well as the inability to squat down, bend over and move like normal.
Pregnant Pauses was not designed as a high-impact workout. Instead it utilizes small, gentle movements into workouts lasting 20-40 minutes per day. It also incorporate kegel exercises that will be more efficient, ultimately leading to an easier labor and recovery.
How does it work?
Each movement within the Pregnant Pauses exercise series was researched and expertly combined to utilize your nervous system’s innate intelligence. The movements help to facilitate a more effective relationship between your muscular and skeletal systems, leading to healthier physical outcomes for your pregnancy.
As we mentioned above, the series is based on years of research and is a direct application of the Feldenkrais Method of Somatic Education. The whole idea behind this method is to be more aware of your body and in touch with your needs.
It is as much psychological as it is physical, although we know that pregnant women don’t often have the time to commit to extensive introspection and testing of movements. That’s why we created the workout series for you. When followed regularly, our clients have seen a vast difference in how they felt and been able to move throughout pregnancy.
The Workout Series and Classes
